Smile Greetings and a Question

Hi, I'm new to this forum. My husband and I rescued our diluted tortoiseshell Annabelle two years ago from a shelter. We love her so much, but we don't have any friends that are cat owners so we never get the chance to talk about her or cats in general. Annabelle is adorably affectionate; she sleeps pressed up against me with her front paws wrapped around my neck like a baby, and when my husband and I sit together she finds a way to nestle down and lay on both of us, which is very sweet. And she is a little piggy! She tries to eat absolutely everything we do- she adores black olives & she even snatched a potato chip once Does anyone else have a cat or cats that do similar things? If so, I would love to hear about it.

Greetings welcome to the crazy cat lady (and a few gents) forums!

Your cat eats olives? I don't even like them

Ziggy loves tea and coffee but as caffeine is really bad for kitties I try not to leave my morning coffee unattended and I have to be sure to never leave mugs of cold tea/coffee around

I once caught her eating the leftovers of a mild curry also, soon disposed of that. Surely curry + cat = bad!

Re: Greetings and a Question

Hi and welcome
Feel free to chat away here all day about your cat - we expect to see some pictures of her too she sounds very pretty.
I have two Siamese girls at the moment and they love to sleep snuggled up to each other or fight over who is going to sleep closest to me They're not into stealing food really but I did have one who liked chili crackers and prawn crackers - she would take them out of your mouth if you let her near enough

Re: Greetings and a Question

hello and welcome

We are all cat mad on here so feel free to join in, I will introduce you to my lot.

First is my darling and loveable Vogue who is seal point siamese ( I worship the ground she walks on and due kittens almost any time now)

Second is Rex he is a chocolate point siamese and soon to be dad to his first lot of kittens (im sooo excited i just might pop)

and last but not least Polly who is a sweet little mogie girl (laughingly called sumo cat not because she is fat but when she plays with Vogue she just sits on top of her and pins her to the floor because she must weigh twice as much as Vogue )

Re: Greetings and a Question

WELCOME to the Pets Forum and to the Cat section. Please feel free to talk about your cats as often as you like. We all love hearing stories and anecdotes about the wonderful little furbabies so you will be right at home here.

As already stated, we need to see some piccies of your little girl so that we can all 'cooo' and 'aahhhhhhh' over her profusely.

yes curry + Cat is definitley bad!

I remember once when i was about 7 or 8 my Dad left the remains of his tandoori chicken in the kitchen.

The next morning the cat had thrown it all up on the sofa - if this wasnt bad enough - the sofa had this strange browny red pattern on it so no one noticed that there was anything there till I sat in it!

I've finally stopped my kittens trying to eat my food, although penny still tries to jump in pizza boxes!
She is also very interested in any fizzy drinks till she gets a bit too close and the bubbles go up her nose!
