*May* be getting a new girl...

Possibly taking on a BSH girl this weekend. I say possibly as I was supposed to go get her last week but the family as called away unexpectedly. My pessimistic mind says timewaster, but I am hopeful...

She is 3, and not spayed *joyous!*

My Mush was neutered around 5 weeks ago. I assume there is a chance he could still get her preg if she was in call when I get her? She is getting spayed within 2 weeks, as soon as I can book her in, she is in, but can't book her in til she is registered, and can't register her til I get her... Shouldnt be very long though.

Are there any health complications to be aware of when a girl has been left unspayed this amount of time, and I am fairly sure never been pregnant or mated?

Also I blame Jill3 for me agreeing to take her on... she is the double of her gorgeous dilute calico bicolur in her sig!

Good on you for taking her on. I'm sure if she comes home she will be very loved.

Welcome back

Re: *May* be getting a new girl...

Sounds exciting With regards to her being entire I wouldn't worry too much if you're spaying her asap. Might give you a chance to do slow intros if you keep them apart at first ... then she can be spayed during that time.

Glad to see you back, I was beginning to despair of the recent goings on

Re: *May* be getting a new girl...

Good luck with her

I would imagine your only worries would be (as long as he is not already pregnant) a higher risk of developing mammary tumours in later life than if spayed earlier. Obvioulsy the spaying will eliminate any risk of pyometra

And nice to see you back after your "holidays" ... mine were good, how about yours

Well done you
I do like to hear of people taking on adult cats instead of kittens

Glad to be back. See this is what happens, I collect more cats during my absence.

She is lovely, I've been to see her, so I'm already attached :P So small compared to my fat bum boys! Was gonna pick her up last friday but then they werent there. I worry theyve changed their mine! But should be ok... Dont want to jinx anything.

She is fully papered (and a very obvious dinner plate face!) but I dont get the papers til I spay her. I get its to put off people breeding her but why wasnt she spayed anyway. Oh well. Can't wait to get her and get her on some proper food and off Go Cat! She is also 3, and the other cat they have is 2, and theyre rehoming her cos they dont get on... (yet theyve had them both from kittens! First in, first out it seems...)

Their loss is my gain!

Really good. Dream job is in the works... and hopefully getting another lovely kitty! We shall have to see :P

Shame about the mammary tumours I dont think she is already pregnant, the other cat living there is also female (not spayed either) They even said how she howls the place down when in call. WELL its easily fixed. urgh. I hope this friday = me with a new kitty.
