Re: Female Cats

I generally get on better with boys, and that goes for all animals, not just cats. My experience is that they're much less neurotic and more affectionate. I've had cats, dogs, horses, and even a female hamster when I was a kid who was a real pain. It's always the males I've had a better relationship with,

Re: Female Cats

My boy cat is the soppiest cat I've EVER known. Loves snuggles, loves being carried, likes to get all up in my face for kisses lol. Sleeps on my chest too! He's not a huge lover of belly rubs though.

My girl cat, she is affectionate, but not as often as him, and she will NOT be picked up. She will struggle and push away. She does have her moments though and does like to be stroked and loves belly rubs too.

She loves her cuddles with my OH as well, but usually she treats him as her play thing he is always the one with scratch marks, though you cant blame her for that, he does wind her up till she is hyped up to the max!!!!
Molly sounds just like our Milly! Milly always nose-bumps both of us when we get home and will cuddle up on my chest if I'm led down. She always says 'hello' before jumping onto the sofa or our bed and doesn't mind being carried around for short periods of time. Mills will play rough with my OH half and he bears the scratch marks to prove it I tell him not to encourage her but it falls on deaf ears

Re: Female Cats

This is Lilly and how she spends much of the day on the sofa, when she is not ruling the roost:

... I may have been naughty and posed her for a little photo, it was Christmas and she really didnt seem to mind as you can see, she went back to sleep, lol

on a serious note though, she does rule the roost! and whilst she enjoys the occasional fuss, she always lets you know when she's had enough with a gentle "pushing" out of the way with her paw or a little gentle nibble to the hand (not the love bite kind - she does those too!)

she's a gorgeous girl and I wouldn't have her any other way

Re: Female Cats

All the female cats I have had have all been really affectionate, a lot more so than our male cats. In fact, we have had to give up having lives when we got Rose. If we are in the house, she has to be with us, wherever we are. She sleeps under the blanket at night, head on one of our pillows, and every night when we go up and watch a film in bed, she sits on my OH's chest and watches too. She also enjoys sitting on his shoulder, and she will scream the house down if we don't convey her from the bathroom upstairs as Her Royal Highness does not like to get her paws cold. Lol

We're hoping our new girl will be the same, but we shall see when she comes home.
