This is sad but true, my own cat was kidnapped and locked in the shed of our next door neighbour who hated our cats walking on his garden lawn and expected us to do something about it. We lost her for two days and then heard her meowing whilst playing at the bottom of our garden. We had to sneak over the fence, break into the shed and get her out. She was really de-hydrated already!

Of course he feigned ignorance.
