Re: How long....

Ahhh poor girl. Yes it can be taken from the leg but I think some vets are lazy and shave more fur off than they need to make it easier for them, plus i think it's the lazy option getting blood from the neck. Must be very horrible for the cat

Re: How long....

My vets are really good. When I get a show cat speyed, they don't shave any off the legs and hardly any off the tummy, just enough for the cut, the boys arn't shaved at all.

Re: How long....

Yes they never shaved her leg and the patch is smaller than the last girl I had done. It was stupid what they did to her I made sure I told them lots that I show her and I want a small patch please!

Re: How long....

I had two long haired moggy girls spayed and I swear my vet was haing a laugh with them - they looked awful. It took literally months to grow back.

My shorthaired mog wasn't as bad but it was still a huge area and it was noticeable for quite a while afterwards

Re: How long....

Sorry can't help - it just happens! When my girls came back - especially with Effie, they looked "terrible" with the shaving. I was really upset. especially as Effie has the tendancy to sleep on her back with her stomach in the air! You couldn't help but notice!

But you actually get used to it and soon enough the hair is back and you forget it needed to grow!

Sorry that wasn't very helpful but it actually just made me realise it must have happened quickly, because I didn't monitor it! Mine are short haired tho!

Just give them lots of love and tell them they are beautiful anyway!
