Cat toys

i've been trying to think of new ideas to try and keep my cat amused when i am out of the house, she loves chasing a laser light as do most cats i imagine, but the batteries run out after a few days. So an idea just popped into my head of getting one of those disco light ball things you can buy in argos for a tenner, and have different colour lights flashing all over the wall. I cant find anyone else that has done this, is this a stupid idea or have i stumbled on something

thanks for the reply, think i'll reconsider that then

shes got loads and loads of balls, big and small, and a few mice, but she seems to be more interested in stuff she can chase and run after, otherwise she just lays about and looks bored

she would chase the laser pen around until she dropped dead if i let her, just thought it might be fun to have something similar for when i'm not there..... the search continues

I think those are the best cat toys ever, mine never tired of playing with them. The only trouble was they would keep getting 'lost' under the settee

those little laser pens run out very quickly, and they use the watch type batteries which arent the easiest or cheapest things to buy as replacements.

the battery powered mice i've bought before now are pretty much rendered useless unless you have wooden floors, which i dont unfortunately.

I notice on the website they sell that badabeam thing, i came across this earlier on petplanet and quite a few people are saying that was a waste of time, anyone tried this

Re: Cat toys

yeah i made the mistake of spending a fortune on new innovated toys when really... cardboard box, grocery bags and cheap fake mice do the trick!

Re: Cat toys

i'm a very sad person i know but i've been looking up reviews of this badabeam thing and practically every review says its rubbish really

i think i'm going to try the disco light ball idea, i have all her toys, cat tree etc in my spare room, i think she would go insane if there was dozens of multicoloured lights flying around in there

Plus a disco ball is the same price as the badabeam, so worth a try.......

thanks for the replies
