Re: Cats & Dogs - Friends or foes?

I've had a mixture of cats and dogs over the years and they've all got on to a greater or lesser degree. I had one dog and cat who where great mates and loved to play "chase" in the evening. I'd be stood in the kitchen and see the cat fly down the hallway chased by the dog, followed 2 seconds later by the dog going in the other direction chased by the cat! This would go on for a good while. It was like something out of a cartoon!
Every night that cat HAD to go walkies with the dog. (Not on a lead..just with us). If he wasn't back in time for the start of the walk he'd catch us up...he knew the route.
But if there's one thing I've never seen a cat be able to resist it's sticking the paw out as the dog walks past and "stroking?" it's back!
Jan.

Hahaha! That's brilliant!! I don't think I would have been able to stop laughing for weeks, especially if that was a regular occurance!!

Re: Cats & Dogs - Friends or foes?

That sound alot like our house,
Our old cat walked every evening with us and the dogs and was boss.
My dogs do chase the farm cats as they run away but stop if the cat stops but at home my collie and the kitten play for hours its very funny he also sleeps on the dogs bed with them. it's common in our house to see dogs and cat flying about or jumping on beds up stairs he likes to hide then get them as they walk past infact the 3 of them can make more mess then my 2yr old when they start
