Hello!

I am looking for a Scottish Fold or Scottish Fold Munchkin cat - without much sucess

Does anyone have any idea where I could find one?

I have no idea where you could find a reliable breeder of this type of cat. But will stick my neck out and say...

1. They may not be so popular here in the UK as these seem to me to be "designer" cats that have two inheritable mutations (ear folds and restricted limb growth) and as such many breeders will stay away from passing on such mutations in the feline population. These mutations may be associated with other health problems and I would urge you to look into this before buying such a kitten, if you havn't already done so.

2. Being "designer" cats they are more likely to be bred by "back yard breeders" and as such I would again urge you to research very carefully and with utmost caution. Kitten farms can produce cats that are far more likely to succomb to illness and disease.

I felt it was important to highlight these issues.

Someone that breeds 4 DIFFERENT BREED OF CATS with no sign of pedigree certificate and health testing sound like a BACKYARD BREEDER to me.

They aren't any reputable breeder that breed Scottish Fold in the UK.

I wouldn't think anyone reputable would breed Scottish Folds.

it isn't a recognize breed in the UK.

but in the states, yes.

just to say that she isnt a BYB she is one of the most well known ragdoll breeders. Fair enough she has alot of cats. She also does haelth test her cats and all are registered and she shows.

just because you have mo0er than 1 breed of cat doesnt make you a 'byb' you can have 1 breed and be a byb.

all i know about scottish fold is that you have to find a breeder who health tests i think that one registery wont reg them anymore as they are riddled with illness, as for munchkins....i wont comment!!
