Cat friendly houses?

Just read article in Your Cat magazine about how cat friendly today's homes aren't! Too much Ikea and not enough Auntie Mabels' sideboard apparentley
So I was wondering what do you do to make your home more cosy and fun for your cats? Especially indoor furries!

Re: Cat friendly houses?

I know some visitors think I'm daft but I'm a bit addicted to collecting beds, baskets, radiator hammocks and scratchers. Can never seem to feel I have enough .

My opinion:

House is my domain.
Garden will be my cat's domain.

Seems fair to me...anyway, he still watches programs on my plasma...he seems to be a tv junky.

Re: Cat friendly houses?

My whole house is set up for the cats and not my boyfriend and I. The cats have more furniture than we do!

Re: Cat friendly houses?

I waved the white flag years ago and 'gave' my lot the spare bedroom!
They have a high single bunk bed leading onto the top of fitted wardrobes, numerous radiator beds and scratch posts in there. (its the only room totally off limits to the dog so litter trys and food and water live there also).
Plus they have a cat run with shelves and scratch posts in. Oh and Ive just bought a jolly nice bed to go on top of the fridge
Spoilt little monkeys!!!

Re: Cat friendly houses?

My cats help themselves to our bed, the kids bean bags, the rocking chair, any of my nice cushions. I also have a few of the pet fleeces placed around the house. They do pretty well for themselves.

Re: Cat friendly houses?

My house is getting more 'cattified' by the day!

I have a huge scratcher in my dining room and there are hammocks and cat beds in virtually every room! I also have a heat lamp with cat beds under it!
