yes all those kittens do have different markings but those will change as they get older so they might not be as easy to tell!

i would have thought the iodine would be fine to mark their paws with as they are a tan colour.

Re: How can we tell the difference!

Ribbons would be my suggestion, like breeders do with puppies. You can put elastic ribbons on their necks. That way, if they get caught for whatever reason, they can still free themselves.

I've had iodine used on me before...once when my finger exploded..literally...in the army (lucky to still have it). They poured loads of iodine on it. Second time was when I fell off my motorbike. Both not in this country...because, I may be wrong, but they don't use iodine for humans as a disinfectant here, do they? Or is it just in hospitals they use it...?

Re: How can we tell the difference!

There are some great ideas.

Mine are both black and look identical (they are brothers). One was smaller than the other but hubby still had a problem with which was which. I used different coloured soft collars at first.

They are both now the same size if there is a difference in size it isn't noticeable. One of mine has a white belly which is only visible when he rolls over.

They don't wear collars now their characters and personalities make it clear which is which, but only we can tell the difference.

Sue
