Acting Like Adults

Why is it that almost every day we log in here there seems to be a problem with members of the forum acting like children or sending abusive private messages to other members and to the moderators, This should be a forum where people can openly chat and give advice to eachother and generally get along together , meet new friends at shows etc, but it seems like some users just cant act like adults they use the private message to send abuse, ive heared on here that these people should be given a warning about their behaviour and then if it continues they will be banned well im sorry i wouldn't give these people a second chance at all, if they cant act like adults then they shouldnt be here conversing with the rest of the members.
As for abusing the MODS , well think about it for a second, .....without the moderators we wouldnt have a forum, they do a great job and they do it for the rest of us, i dont know the full story and i dont wish to know it but it seems like some members have a problem with the newly elected moderators. these people whoever they are need to stop their childish ways and grow up the newly elected moderators are decent people and give great advice to any other user that needs advice. So my message to the mods ( all of them ) is, i wouldnt give these idiots a second chance, if you get abuse in any form then ban them right away, i dont see what place they have in here.
Im sure this post/rant will upset one or two users, but im sure the ones that it does upset will be the ones causing the problems, but you know what....i don't give a hoot, my message to them is, please grow up , quit the childish games and lets use this forum as it should be used, and thats for enjoyment and advice, personally ive met and made some good friends in here as have most users and thats how it should be. So let hope this forum can become a good site to visit in the future instead of a battlefield.
best wishes to all....................Chris.

Re: Acting Like Adults

Wow that says it all well done
I.d just like to say that it is frustrating for me that when i put my opinion down people object. All im doing is telling them what i would do.

Re: Acting Like Adults

I'm not taking sides here, i believe everyone is entitled to their opinion, and when you join a forum of any kind the idea of it is to offer advice, to learn and to meet new friends and everyone should be free to do this.
What i do disagree with is the fools that moan and slant at the moderators, what they need to remember is these moderators do this in their own free time without any kind of reward and they should be praised for doing this , without them there wouldnt be a forum, the moderators both the original ones and the newly elected ones should be left to do their job without any kind of abuse and as far as im concerned if people cant respect them then they have no right partaking in this forum,
oh boy......i'm really getting it out of my system today hahahahaha, but seriously, come on members, respect the moderators and the posts that people put on this forum and it will be a far happier place.
best wishes.......CHRIS.

Re: Acting Like Adults

Ahhh, Thanks Chris It's nice when others understand that it's not easy to be a Mod. We are here to help people, but sadly it seems that we are only seen to be wanting to put peoples back up!....which is not the case at all. We were chosen fair & square and only want to do the best for the cat section for which we were asked to Moderate

Re: Acting Like Adults

LOL - it would also be good if the mods didn't discuss PF members on other forums.......especially when they have no idea what they're talking about

Re: Acting Like Adults

KOZYKATS....this is exactly the type of post we dont wish to see, what people discuss outside of this forum doesnt need to be brought up in here, you're obviously bitter over something here but treading on the mods who were fairly elected by members of this forum is totally uncalled for, just remember Kozy , without them you wouldnt be here voicing you're opinion so please try and respect the job they do.

Re: Acting Like Adults

there is definetly a lot of "cattiness" in the cat section

Seriously though I hav,nt been here that long and have noticed that there is a lot of opinonated people, which is not a bad thing - i think it's just the way it comes across in writing sometimes that makes it seem nastier than what it really is meant to be, everyone has different views and beliefs but we should,nt slate others if they do things a bit differently

It's like that all over the forum unfortunately. Alot of people have very strong view on certain aspects which is what brings us all here

People just clash sometimes
