Marley

I'm beginning to wonder If Im ever going to get Marley 100% fit & well, he wasn't in a good way when I took him off the person who'd been ill treating him, & he was at the vet the very next morning (my daughter rescued him at midnight on the day we got him).

He's had 5 lots of antibiotics & 2 long courses of antibiotic eye drops,(over the course of 8 weeks) yet the infection behind his eye & in his nose keeps returning, he had a bad eye & nose infection when I got him while he's on antibiotics it clears up with in a week of coming off them its back again. Ive spent over £135 in vets bill over the past few weeks trying to get him sorted.

He can see out of the eye that gets the infection but I dont think his vision is 100% in that eye.

I look forward to seeing that day when his white face isn't stained brown under his bad eye, although it's bathed & cleaned frequently its still stained
I suppose being persian & flat faced doesn't help the matter much either

Re: Marley

Hi Onyxx - glad poor little Marley was rescue by your daughter and yourself. I do hope that very soon he will show good signs of improved health. Poor baby. Good on you both for doing what you have been so far - more strength to your elbows.

Re: Marley

vet hasn't said anything about why it keeps coming back but Im taking him again next week, & Im gonna ask if he can have different antibiotics now he's a bit older to see if that works, he's a gorgeous little kitten & more cuddly than Tilly his sister who's very independent he weighed just 14 ounces when I rescued him (& is now heading for 4lbs) how anyone can be cruel to a kitten let alone one that tiny is beyond me

Re: Marley

Ahhh, bless him, he's so sweet. What a lovely person you are taking him on and trying to get him better. There are a couple of persian breeders on here, they might be able to help
