and Thank You to all my sponsors - I shall defo have to put the video online once the jump has been done.

My plan is to

1 - see my doctor to get the health certificate that I need to present to the flying club - Appt with doctor on Friday 3rd Oct

2 - Book a date for training and perhaps also the jump (if they think I'm good enough and if the weather is good enough) - got to do this as soon after doc's appt as possible - same or next weekend, weather permitting.

3 - Do the jump with someone to take the shots of us all flying down to earth - possibly mid Oct now but asap

4 - Get online with it and post a link when I get home.

5 - Write "thank you" notes to everyone. Am getting very excited.

Glad you asked - am now embarrassed because the flying club tell me, after waiting this long to hear back from them, that they are not getting many enquiries now that the weather is so unpredictable and that they will have to close for winter until the spring, unless I do the tandem jump. Now the tandem jump is one in which the "student" is tied to the front of the "expert" - this is something that scares me sh1tless. I shall have to wait until either
a) they get another four students who want to do the freefall course, as I do, or

b) the spring time when the weather is more predictable (ha ha ha) and of course then they may get more students

So - with deep blushes, I have to now wait until the club tell me they have a place, a date and a time to fly.

This is the sort of thing that makes me wish I had my own plane ...

I shall not let this go and will continue to ring them from time to time to see what is happening.
