Beau is on a distinguished road
Introducing kittens to cat

Any advice would be appreciated!
We recently took on two 8 week old kittens who had been cruely dumped in a garden. We brought them home and our cat was not impressed. We're encouraging her to get used to thier scent before introducing them but she's reluctant to enter the house although she clearly wants to. She begins hissing and meowing when she finally does. She soiled on our bedroom carpet yesterday (upstairs is her preference as it's 'kitten free' teritory) altough she is still affectionate once settled.
Getting her into our home on her own free will is proving to be a challenge yet the kittens appear oblivious to her.
Any ideas???

Re: Introducing kittens to cat

just give her time she will be ok, most animals are like that if their been the only pet in the house for a while, they feel there nose is pushed out, but just let her know she is still loved and wanted, BTW welcome to the mad house

Ahhh, bless her. Same advice as Linda really. It's a big shock to her having 2 new kittens to deal with. Give her some space & time, keep your routine with her the same, she should slowly start accepting them.
Welcome to you too
