Hello all, I'm hoping someone on here can help me out. Our 17wk old kitten has very strange hair, her face and legs/paws have a lovely velevety like fur which is very smooth and silky, het neck chest and tummy has a very long soft and fine fur which is also very smooth but her back and tail are a bit scraggy for want of a better word. She has a short layer of hair which looks like it has been micro-crimped its kinda fluffy, very soft and pretty dense but she also has longer hair intermingled (maybe 1-1.5") and inbetween that she also has random hairs which are maybe 2" long. She also has long white hairs on her legs which just kind of sprout randomly.
I originally thought the micro-crimped hair was kitten fur and that she was going to be slightly longer haired than we first thought, but she is meant to be 17wks which seems old to still have kitten fur. Im also beginning to doubt her age as I read that her baby teeth should be coming out round about 15wks but she still has them all from what I can see. Anyone else got a stange haired cat and does anyone think it will beocme regular or does my wee girl just have random hair like an 80's chick?

Maybe its channelling Toyah Wilcox! I have a freaky looking cat also. Frisbee is a long haired caramel tabby cornish rex. His fur is really wavy and terribly messy looking and the colour is kinda like a pale pink
