Smile Anyone Help Please

As you know i have Oscar...who is 1 now.

He was Whiska's then Natures and for one week while i went away he on felix (via my neghbour).

He is fussy over food and now won't eat anything unless its felix. I've tried slowly introducing him back to natures but he won't have it.

Anyone got any ideas that would be great???

Re: Anyone Help Please

Audrey was a bit like this when i moved her onto Applaws. She used to leave it but once she knew the other stuff wasnt coming back she'd soon dig in!

Cats wont starve themselves (as far as i'm aware), so i think the key thing is, is to re-introduce the Natures Menu, slowly fade out the Felix and just leave the NM down for about 20 mins then remove it. I'm sure when Oscar is hungry he will eat it

Re: Anyone Help Please

Hi Sophoscar, is there a specific reason why you don't want him fed on Felix? if he's happy eating felix then why not keep him on it. i know some of the wet foods dont have a very high protein contentbut i think felix is one of the higher ones. he obviously liked the change in his diet, but i think if you really wanted to change him back to his original food then i would change him back gradually by mixing some of the natures with the felix and increasing the amount each meal time. i hope you get him sorted, best wishes...................Chris

Re: Anyone Help Please

It might take a few days for him to start eating the NM. I think at the moment he is holding out for you putting the Felix back down.

Just put the NM down, leave it for 20mins if you can and then just remove it. Try it for a couple of days and i really think Oscar will start eating it.

It is hard at first because you just want them to eat, but if he has dry down as well he'll be fine. Another option is to mix the NM in with his dry

Re: Anyone Help Please

Thank you for the help.

I'll try again with natures but if no luck i'll keep him on Felix

To be honest I prefer Felix over Whiska's if i were to feed store bought brands. I've seen a lot of dental and urinary problems with Whiska's. I wouldn't worry too much over it. Some cats are a bit finicky and like to have things stay the same for a little while. give it a few months and then add a bit of Nature's with the Felix mix it up with a fork and then see how you get on. add more of the Nature's and less of the Felix and so on. I'm not a big fan of Whiskas, Go cat or Iams personally but only because I have seen some horrible things from long term use. But it varies with every cat to be honest. My cat's have a mix of dry food and very little wet food, if so they have Applaws or fresh meat and fish.

Re: Anyone Help Please

Try Bozito - a swedish complete wet food. You have to order it from website - zooplus do it. My cats were beginning to be very picky over Natures Menu but woolf down Bozito.

It is cheaper than NM
