Tragic loss

Late last night our beautiful boy Rus had a stroke and died in my sons arms. This terrible blow has knocked us both for six and we are both grieve stricken. Rus showed no signs of illness beforehand and this has come as a hell of a shock. Late last night he showed signs of distress and within about seven minutes he had died. We asked the emergency vet to find out what caused this and this morning the vet confirmed that Rus had indeed had a stroke at 10 months old. We have brought Rus home this morning where he will be laid to rest at home where he belongs. We can not find any more words to express our grieve and loss. We will miss you so much Rus, our hearts are breaking.

Sadly the reason was due to stress Rus was a keen stud and got extremely worked up when girls were calling so much so he had a stroke
The Vet said that the PM showed nothing wrong, this kind of thing happens to older boys but on occasions younger boys also suffer a stroke

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and caring messages

Re: Tragic loss

So sorry to hear about Rus, I cried when I read your post as I to lost my baby boy nearly 2 months ago now and I still miss him every day. He was just over a year old so I didnt expect I would lose him so soon either.

My heart goes out to you, he is a lovely looking kitten.
