Growling Alfie..
Just wondering if it's normal for a cat/kitten to growl when they're around food?
When I feed Alfie and Lola I have to keep their bowls seperate as Alfie just growls if Lola even so much as looks at him when he's eating his dinner? He's OK with people going near his food bowl but another cat/dog and he growls.. really loud aswell.. sounds more like a Jack Russell! lol |

Re: Growling Alfie..
ha ha I've never heard a cat growl like that.. I took them round to my Mums the other day and she was feeding him ham and their huge German Shepherd dared walk past him and he started growling at her.. poor Kia was terrified of him! lol

Re: Growling Alfie..
Sweep will growl if Sooty goes near him when he is eating something he shouldn't like a dog biscuit or a moth, yak I have to fish it out.
He is fine when I approach him now I did have to stop him growling at me - cheeky monkey. He has always been fine with Duke approaching him and he is fine with Sooty if he is eating something he should like cat food. Sue |
