I dont put the feathers on my da bird anymore as they only last a week or 2.

Re: I love Da Bird!
We have one as well ... actually we have two as I had heard they don't last long so bought two together.
The trick is not to let them catch it very often ... just like in the wild they would have a very high miss rate. We are still on bird no.1 which still has all its feathers in tact after almost 2 months! |

Re: I love Da Bird!
Spartacus loves hers. We have the one with the pole when we play with her (loving the big living room for that!) and then I have a long piece of ribbon with small pieces of velcro both ends which the feather bit get connected to. This then gets attched to the wall hanging below the stairs so she can play and bat it about when were out, but if she gets tangled or pulls to hard it snaps off. It always remained intact but i thought it can be a bad idea! (I am going to "alter" a snap collar instead of velcro but I had loads of velcro left after doing her scratchy mat.
Every night we hear this poor feather getting battered. Although as soon as she catches it, she lets it go so were still on feather number one |
