A worthy cause?
Hi all,
Did you know that the 4th-10th October 2008 is world animal week?? NO? That's the problem, not many people do! It is a yearly week of events sponsored by the WPSA aimed at raising awareness of the level of cruelty some animals suffer, and hopefully raising funds to help to provide better conditions for animal and better treatment of animals. Please don’t think "someone else will donate, so I wont bother" Even if you can't donate, or set up your own event please help spread the word, by sending this on. You may already know someone that could make a real difference - if only they knew... for more information on this years event just Google " worldanimalweek " PLEASE COPY AND FORWARD THIS AS AN E-MAIL TO AT LEAST 10 PEOPLE - Last edited by tashi; 22-09-2008 at 07:42 AM.. No, 'I' am not a charity BUT simply trying to raise awarness of one.... WSPA, 89 Albert Embankment, London, SE1 7TP, United Kingdom [Registered UK charity 1081849] www.wspa.org.uk> ( World Society for the Protection of Animals ) I dont suppose that thw WSPA would use these tactics themselvs but does that mean they are not effective? ![]() |

The question "..are you even a charity" was a rhetorical one as your website is .net. If you were a charity you'd be a .org. I know a little about e-commerce. I'm wondering what you're getting out of it. Because you're inviting everyone to donate to the WSPA but by going via your website first. So..are you getting paid per click, referrral or what? I'm not saying you are doing this by any means but seeing your website is a .net (i.e privately owned) which means you're paying for it...makes you wonder. If I had to put my money on one, I would guess you're getting paid for referrals...which is fine as long as the WSPA know you're doing it and you have a contract with them... Though I would lay off the spam tactics a bit. Apart from spamming being illegal you could give this charity a bad name and in fact in the end instead of promoting their cause, you'd doing the opposite. Spam-does-not-work. Simple as that...and whoever says it does is an idiot. Ok, maybe it does work if you're in Bangkok and looking for a "5 dolla" hooker...but for charities? nah... ![]() Last edited by potatoes; 21-09-2008 at 03:28 PM.. |
