She was awesome though, she hated all cats well actually all living things lol I had her for 5 years before she was put to sleep and she never changed but I never let it bother me, I got a kitten and she had to deal with it, I didn't expect her to like it but she did accept it.
I hope sophie changes for you hun, but if she never does she will be a brilliant cat, Patti always was x
Thanks jem. I am going to persevere with her see how we get on. She is ace with kids its just me and other cats she seems to have problems with. x

Re: considering giving sophie up

Well what a nightmare of a morning i have had with her. Poor roony was fast asleep under my bed minding his own business when sophie pounced on him and sank her teeth into him for no reason. When i picked her up her ears went flat to her head and she was hissing and spitting at me and has scratched all my arm. She attacked snowy last night and he ran off before i could stop him and hasnt come back yet .

Re: considering giving sophie up

Blimey you really are having a tough time of it!!! I hope you get it all sorted out soon!!! I think I would have given up by now!!! Have you tried squirting with water everytime she starts being naughty and aggressive? Dont know if it will work for you but I know that it worked for me to deter Oscar from getting overlly rough with Fifi when they were playing!!!

Hope you can get it resolved soon x x x

Me 2. Its driving me mad he has just attacked roony again my youngest son put her outside he is only 4 bless him. I have never had a kitten that behaved like this before. I could understand it a bit more if it was adults having a bit of a go at her to show hers whos boss. Really at end of my tether now dont know what to do for best really

Prehaps the kitten needs to live where it's the only cat with an experienced owner in cats like this where they can give it lots of one on one time.

Re: considering giving sophie up

Im thinking this 2. As much as it will upset me i have had cats for years and never experienced this type of behaviour before. Feel a bit of a failure though as she was dumped on my door step but now im begining to wonder if this was the reason

you're not. it's not your fault or the kittens.

the right human is out there somewhere. but needs to be the right one so she doesn't have to move again.
