They get them from a woman in Scotland, quite a few breeders tried to do something about it, but unfortunately didn't succeed.

no i agree, the problem is when people have money they think they can buy anything ( i've never been exactly poor but i've never had this view but can speak from experience on having known ppl like this!!)
so it infuriates me too x
also makes me laugh that only 100 was offered in the first place when, to be honest i'm sure most of our kittens go for at least double that due to costs of everything involved!!! xx
Exactly!!

Don't Harrod's realise the GCCF have barred the practice? If they want to be an exception they will have to find some other body willing to register the cats - after all, surely people who can pay Harrod's prices want fully registered cats?

i know harrods have many different depatrments own by different franchise or people for e.g they have a barbers that al fied dont own so if an individual was to own a pet section in harrods he would be able to become gccf registered and breed his own kittens and sell in his shop thus probably creating a loophole on gccf rules . im just speculating though ................ an old man once said ''i've taught you everything i know, but still you know nothing'' kinda sums it up really huh , what do i know

Re: Buying Kittens Lower than £100.

The GCCF is just a registering body, doesn't have any real power, and the Harrod's owner is very very rich, says it all really.

I would think they do but it would seem like suits they want them off the peg.
