Can anybody tell me how I would know if I had a Maine Coon?

When I look at pictures of them and I look at Bunk, my "domestic long haired cat", he looks very similar.

He has huge paws with lots of fur inbetween the toes, a fluffy neck and tail, hair growing out of his ears, and big green eyes. I know this is just surface stuff, but how would I know?

We got him from the RSPCA and nothing was mentioned on his paperwork about him being a pedigee. Or have I just got a fluffy cross breed?

I'd love him either way

Yup,looks like a Maine Coon to me too,has he got a lovely swishy tail? He is a gorgeous boy! did you not get any details from the RSPCA,do they know where he came from?

Got no info from RSPCA really. Just said he'd been in there for about 3 months but I saved him!

I love him so much, he's so cuddley. He wraps his paws around your shoulders and licks your neck!

Difficult to say without seeing his ears, but the chin looks too small for a Coonie to me. Handsome fella though.
