Re: worried about having pixi altered

Do your Vets know about her heart? What exactly is wrong with it? How would she get pregnant? do you have entire males in the house?

Why not get her done when she's that bit older and stronger?

Whether I am going to breed my girl or not I would not have had her spayed until she was at least 7 months. Some people will not agree but that's just my personal age to spay a girl.

I got my moggie spayed at 5.5months and it took her a long time to recover, was a flank spay.

My Siamese girl I had done at 11.5months, she had never called and was very small hence the delay and she recovered much better, was a midline spay.

I'm not sure if this makes a difference?

Anyways.... if you are at all worried why not speak with your Vet over your concerns and see what they say?

Re: worried about having pixi altered

I had a siamese with a heart murmur graded as a 3. She was spayed at just over a year and was fine. Her murmur got worse during and just after the op, but went back to its normal rating by the next day.

If Pixie is very small and immature for her age with health problems I doubt she will call, you are probably safe to wait a couple of months to give her that extra time if you wanted to.
