Its not being a bore, its a question of weighing up the risks of a RTA and also the risk of harm by others and then deciding the best for your cat. We live in a high risk area, so I have opted for mine to be indoor cats with an outdoor play pen.
Mine are only moggies in that they didn't cost much but they are as important to me as pedigrees are to others and mine deserve the best I can do for them. I have had comments at work like what have you got Sue Persians, I take it on the chin, even though its below the belt and I came back with if they were I couldn't have afforded the pen.
I even had an ear bashing of my mum because cats have to have their freedom, I was being cruel but mum and dad have been round this morning and were very impressed, so I have their seal of approval.
The house isn't fool proof the kittens could escape albeit by accident and the risk of them coming to harm then increases but I have done as much as possible to keep them safe.
