Re: Shavnnah Cats

I don't think anyone is getting aerated, the OP is a 16 year old girl who is breeding cats that will never be accepted by the GCCF because of health problems, which she obviously doesn't understand anything about, she's also looking for another rare breed, she isn't what you would call experienced, and flies of the handle if questioned at all.
By the way your cats are beautiful, but remember what happened with the Bengals, everyone jumped on the bandwagon and there are lots and lots of BSB's, my friend has a F2 Bengal, he came from the lady in Scotland who has Esmonds cats, I should imagine you know who I'm talking about, my friends cat is a neuter and doesn't look a bit like the later Bengals, but he still needs careful handling.
Maybe you think I'm wrong but in my opinion these early cats should only go to people who know what they are doing.

Re: Shavnnah Cats

I think any type of pedigree breeding should be done by people who know what they're doing. You need to know the background of your breed and how to use the lines carefully, breeding healthy kittens.( granted there are always problems/upset with any breeding) I agree totally with what you're saying about the 16 yr old, she, in my opinion is not mature enough to be breeding anything. I certainly would'nt let my teenagers do any breeding. 2 of mine do have their own, neutered cats, which they show, with success, but that would is as far as it goes. In the mean time they are able to watch, help & learn with any kittens born here. Breeding is hard work and needs maturity & knowledge, it's also very rewarding when you get the little bundles to 13 weeks and they go off happy & healthy to their new homes
