Problem!!!!

As I still live at home my mum has said the kittens have to go now and they are only 5 weeks old!!! They are eating proper food but that doesnt matter! I want them to stay but I have no choice.
Mum says Victoria should be my priority, and she is, so they kittens must go!
Toffee's new daddy might have her sooner
Sox's new mummy cant have her yet
Bruiser is staying
But poor Mew has no-where to go

What should I do?

Re: Problem!!!!

Thats way to young to let kittens go , can you not ask your mum to keep them a little longer i have never heard kittens going at 5 weeks , usually 8 to 13 weeks ,

Re: Problem!!!!

Would your mom really make you get rid of them this early?
They really should be with there mom at least untill 8 weeks, for me thats too early.

Re: Problem!!!!

Well they cant be with their mum, she is too ill to even be with a cat let alone her babies!

I know its too young but you havent met my mother

I just spoke to Toffee's new daddy and he is fine about having her and even having Mew.

They are all weaned because they were hand reared. I still dont feel comfortable allowing the to go until 8 weeks but I dont know what else to do

Re: Problem!!!!

She is using Victoria against me now saying If i care about her I would get rid of the kittens and make her my priority to make sure she lives

Its a choice she says(a sick choice)

Re: Problem!!!!

Do you have a friend that could foster them for you? They learn alot from there siblings, it would be awfull to split them up so early.
good luck

Re: Problem!!!!

OMG thats awfull.. if those kitt's dont have their Mum they most definately will need their siblings untill at least 8 weeks!

Just be firm with your mother and tell her you are not dumping these kittens as it's cruel..

Re: Problem!!!!

Oh what an awful situation to be put in BB.
Can I ask how old you are? (very rude of me I know).

Was this cats pregnancy planned or an accident? Surely your mother should have expected the kittens to be around for a good 8 weeks after they were born when she allowed/found out Victoria was pregnant.

Even if they are not spending time with their mother, you have been acting as their mother by giving them all the care they need, so they really should stay with you (and each other).
Also without being around your other cats, they will find it harder to lern 'how to be a cat' and the new owners may find them very hard work, particularly with using the litter tray.

And surely your mother realises there is enough love and care to go round in your house for Victoria and babies.
