So far the biggest shock of my life

I still get a shiver if i think about it but still would like to share it with urs

Saturday night it was a really hot night and i always make sure the windows are not opened too wide because of the cats. But this night i was so sweating and hot that i started to feel dizzy so i opened up one window fully. I musted have forgotten but i went to get calie so she can watch the puppy and get used to her. I put calie on her scratch tree and maya started to bark at her.
Calie then jumped on the sofa, onto the window and maya jumped on the sofa and calie jumped out the window eek:
Ok, its really bad as we live surrounded by corn fields. I run out in shock begging she didnt run into the field as this would mean i would never see her again
She was standing outside in front of the window not realising where she was. So i talked calmly and moved slowly towards her and when i was near enough i made a jump and caught her!!!!!!
I held on to her really really tight when i was carrying her back in and i am so thankfull that nothing bad happened
I cant imagine what i would have done if she run away....hugo would run into the field without thinking!

Re: So far the biggest shock of my life

I know how you must have felt, mine got over into next door's once and I had to shimmy over a big wall to get her back as they werent in. Was such a relief to get her back. Mine don't go out but I let two or three out for a run about and went inside to get a brew, next thing I knew she had vanished eek: Don't take my eyes off them now if they are having a play outside

So pleased that you found her, and she is safe.

Re: So far the biggest shock of my life

This happened to us once - the cats were out in the cat run which has a door with a perspex bit so you can look in. I dont know what had happened but when i went to get them in the perspex bit had dropped out and Moeey (our stud) had got out. He is 3.5 years old and never been out. I felt sick. Myself and OH spent 40 minutes walking the streets with a bag of food calling him. I was crying my eyes out thinking he was hurt as we live by a main road. Just when we were about to go home and ring people to come and help my OH spotted him going into someones backyard (2 streets away from us) we ran up and shouted him - when he saw us he looked so relieved. I think he scared but couldnt work out how to get home.

Re: So far the biggest shock of my life

something similar happend before with hugo.
He climbed out the window onto the roof and the only reason we found out that he is on the roof were the 20 seagals flying in circles only above our house screaming their throats out
hugo was desperate to get back in after he got bombed a few times by them hehe
