Spaying a cat

At what age should a cat be spayed? My vet told me 5 months - isnt that a bit soon?

They can get caught by tom's at that age so should be fine. I normally say 6 months or so

I normally reccomend my kittens are done around 7months old, but does depend on the individual vets,

Yes I agree - Mine were advised at 5months but I had mixed sex kittys. If your kitty goes outside then I think earlier the better as these cats aren't like humans! One roll around and 9weeks later your sweet bundle of fun quadruples

I would say get her done as soon as any vet is prepared to spay her if you don't want kittens. Especially in the hot weather when windows are open and other cats can get in, or if you have more than one of different sexes.

The reason I say this is because my girl Roxy got pregnant at 3 1/2 months!!!
