Re: Your Ragdoll/s

Ha ha I think it's great you have created a thread dedicated to Ragdolls.. why the hell not?! LOL!

My 2 are only 6 months old and have grown a bit since they last got weighed at the vets...

Alfie's definately the heaviest, he's going to be a big boy.. the male neuters fully grown can weigh up to 20/25 lbs!

exactly I know there are quite a few ragdoll owners on the site, so thought I'd dedicate a little thread to their lovely cuddly weight

Is Alfie neutered? Bailey is, so I am not sure if he is going to get any bigger... still has 2 years to go and already 18lbs lol. But I love his bigness, he isn't fat... he's just large and his body is in proportion.

They have stayed the same for quite a few months now. Maybe gone up by about half a lb. So maybe this will be their future weight. That might be a good thing, Bailey is getting hard to pick up!

Re: Your Ragdoll/s

Yes I got Alfie neutered about a month ago (the neuter boys grow bigger normally than the entire males.. and put weight on easier)

Alfie was the runt of the litter so dont think he's going to be one of the biggest Raggies around but never the less will be a big boy!

What made you get Ragdolls?

What made you get Ragdolls?
I had never owned a cat in my life. But because I was old enough to look after a cat, my mum (and dad as if dads get a say! lol) finally decided to let me have one. I was 18 I think when I finally got BooBoo.

So I started my search for a cat. I'll be honest, I was just after a moggy. I started to see the rediculous prices and thought I may as well pay a bit extra and get a full pedigree cat. I had no idea about pedigree cats or the different type of breeds. So I just did research on the internet about different breeds of cat. Of course, the Ragdoll stood out BIG TIME.
I got one because of their temperament, personality, looks and much much more. I just fell in love with them by reading about their loyal personality and that they are more like a dog than a cat! I loved everything I read about them, they seemed too good to be true lol.

I remember going to the breeders house when I went to visit BooBoo. OMG her Ragdolls were so god damn beautfiul! I knew I had made the right decision. They all greeted me and were so loving, and just different to other cats.

I do also like British Shorthairs and Siamese... but Ragdolls will ALWAYS be my number one breed of cat. I tell my friends what they are like (some have never even heard of a Ragdoll before), they never believe what I tell them... because they think I am talking about a dog not a cat haha. I JUST LOVE 'EM

Must admit your's do look large as adults in the pics on your signature. I always used to think of raggies as smaller dainty cats, a bit like Birmans, if you know what I mean
