Yes depending on age size and condition, some of my girls didnt start calling until a year and a half old, and I wouldnt put a 7 month old kitten in with an entire boy either

Never seen a bengal x siamese before, how did that cross come about? will you not be getting that girl spayed in the future? If my neighbours were to complain, on one side I would say well you have a parrot that squawks early in the morning and on the other side I would say well you have a dog that barks out in the yard. So they can't really complain. Just think of something they have that annoys you

Re: cat contraceptive jab

Don't let silly neighbour's trouble you - Saynamore is right.

My neighbours on one side have a couple of terriers who are allowed out in the garden at night to do their business - they dart up the garden barking with glee and return all excited, yapping and waggy tailed. If I was not a dog lover, the commotion might be annoying.

Once or twice the owners went out late at night and the dogs were crying pitifully. My cats joined in but they were calling and as we know, Siamese can easily compete with the noisiest of foghorns on a bad day - mysteriously .... there was silence, but for a few barely audible whimpers from next door after a few meezer yowls. I felt a bit sorry for the poor dogs.

Everyone has a neighbour issue of one sort or another. You neighbours will just have to live with it and understand, or move away.

Re: cat contraceptive jab

Yeah I've heard of Serengetis, they look a stunning cat. Are they a recognised breed in this country?

Just found this write up on Wikipedia about them..........

The Serengeti cat is a cross between the Bengal cat and an Oriental cat.

The breed is still in the development stages, but the ultimate aim is to produce a cat that looks similar to a Serval, without using any recent wild cat blood. (Bengal cats originate from hybridization of Asian Leopard Cats. Most Bengal cats used in Serengeti programs are many generations removed from these origins and possess few genetic contributions of the Leopard Cat except alleles affecting coat color). Serengeti cats are spotted cats, with long legs and very large ears. Males are generally slightly larger and heavier than females and can weigh up to 15lbs; females generally weigh between 8 and 12lbs.

They are recognized by TICA (The International Cat Association) in tabby, ebony silver, ebony smoke and solid black. A group of breeders in the UK are currently working towards getting TICA to also recognise the snow spotted (aka lynx-point) variety.

The tabby is known as the brown spotted in the UK - however spots can be black or dark brown on a tan, light beige or gold background. The silver has black spots on a silver background. Ghost spotting can sometimes be seen on the solid black version. They are beautiful cats, with lovely temperaments, somehow managing to take the best characteristics from both their parent breeds. They are not Bengal/Siamese crosses, often mistakenly called serengeti.

Looks like an up and coming breed
