Special price for friends???

A friend of mine wants one of the kittens when we have them in sept.

Do you give your friends special prices? If so how much discount?

Re: Special price for friends???

depends on the kittens mogs or pedigrees, if pedigrees then no, i never got my breeding girl cheap from my friend, infact i can get a breeding show quality queen a bit cheaper from some one else, not that that bothers me i paid more from my friend,

Re: Special price for friends???

Interesting question. Never been in a position of having one of my friends asking me for one of my kittens. Depends who though. If its family, then it would be a gift. (I mean blood relatives in the UK only and I can count on one hand who they are ... ;-) )

Smile Re: Special price for friends???

Personally I do give a discount (usually about £75) for friends as the added bonus for me is that I will see the kit regularly! I still do insist they sign a contract however.

Re: Special price for friends???

Well I guess pure breeds are slightly different to standard moggies, but all my moggies are going to friends and I am not charging anyone anything for them. I did think about working out what the kittens had cost me (food/vet checks etc) but decided I was more concerned with them going to good homes where I knew they would be well loved and cared for.

If it is a pure breed, then maybe I would consider what the kitten had actually cost me (vet checks/stud fees etc), I wouldn’t want to make money out of a friend/family member. Chances are you would get a pretty decent thank-you gift anyway.
Of course this all depends on weather they are a true friend or more of an acquaintance.
