Re: maiden queens going to stud

We were worried when our girl went off to stud that Ty, our male neuter would fret but we needn't have bothered. He appeared not to miss her in the slightest, in fact seemed very happy to be getting all the attention but boy did he huff and throw tantrums when she got back

Re: maiden queens going to stud

When my girl went to stud I wondered how my two neuters would handle her eventual return (4 days later). There was no need to worry, not only did they not seem to notice her absence (probably just glad of a rest from her calling her head off ) and then within 10 minutes of her coming home and a couple of sniff's later..best of frinds again and it was like she had never been away!

Good luck

Re: maiden queens going to stud

I think you may find a bit of hissing for a while becuase your girls that have been in with a stud may 'whiff' a bit of tom cat.lol You may not notice it but your cats will.
You could try stroking all your cats with catnip, that could help.
But don't worry if you do get a reaction its usually very short lived.
Good luck with the matings.
