kittens due soon-advice

hi
my queen is due on sunday 4th april but is there any chance she could have them early or do they arrive 9 weeks to the day of conception.

also i have got her box set up for her put she won't go in there she prefers to sleep on my clothes on my shelf in my wardrobe but i don't want her to have the kittens there. i have put her food in the box to hopefully encourage her to go in the box. she normally loves boxes and play and sleeps inthem for hours.
any other ideas i can use
the box is in my wardrobe on the floor because its warm dark and quiet

Hi There, bet you cant wait for the little bundles to arrive

I have found that they will not go in the box, untill they go into labour(In my experience) Keep the box where it is she knows it is there and will use it when she needs to. Does the box have a lid/cover? they tend to like privacy

Good luck with everything and please keep us posted.

Re: kittens due soon-advice

My cat had several birthing boxes ready, but on the day she decided that behind my pc on top of the wires was the best place.
As soon as i knew she was in labour i placed her in her box in my room several times and she stayed there eventually. As long as she has her water, litterbox, food nearby.
From what i have read they dont tend to come early,it really depends on when she actually conceived, both my cats litters were about day 69.
Best of luck with the new babies.
