advice pls

hi its me again.

how long is a cat pregnant for? As you know willow supprised us with a kitten on boxing day and got caught again! She is about 4 to 5 weeks pregnant, how much longer has she got?

Her nipples are huge and pink and she is getting fatter by the day and is eating really well.

We have got a big box ready for her and will be put into my daughters bedroom when she is near her due date.

willows kitten is still having a sneaky snack from her,is this ok? will she stop feeding him soon?

I adopted a cat and her kitten several years ago and he fed from her for a long time.

Smile Re: advice pls

I am no expert but cats are pregnant for around 65 days. So if she had a kitten on Boxing Day that kitten is exactly 3 months today. So I would say she would be approx 6 - 7 wks, spesh with the pink nipples, but like I said I am know expert so mayby wait untill somebody with more expeirence comes along.

Good luck with everything

Re: advice pls

Prevent, if you can, the kitten feeding from its Mum now. The new kittens will need the colostrum - first milk that contains all the antibodies they require - without it they have no immunity to anything.

Re: advice pls

ive worked out that she is 5 weeks pregnant by my old post so that makes her 35 days so just over half way.

will she start pushing her kitten away when the time gets close, she dotes on him and will miss her effection.?

Re: advice pls

When she gets really close she will try to carry him off to the nest and want him with her - but he will take all the colostrum so you must separate them at that stage.
