Re: Caulophyllum?

I've used it, its supposed to helpful in strengthening the contractions.
I have given it and not given it, and not really seen a difference a difference between the births. I have used chamomilla and that seems to be very good at easing pain during birth.

Re: Caulophyllum?

Thank you saikou i'll look at getting some chamomilla instead. i also got some KittyStim Kitten Probiotic & Colostrum like you suggested, i was just wondering if i should still give it to the kittens even if they don't look weak? would it still benefit them even if they are strong and healthy?

Re: Caulophyllum?

If they are all doing really well on Mums milk then I would leave them to it. The kitty stim is great if they aren't doing so well, but its really messy, sticky horrible stuff. If you have to give it, then I would decant the dosage into a 1ml syringe, far easier than the thing it comes in.

Re: Caulophyllum?

Are you talking about Caulophyllum as a homeopathic preparation? if so this is used to encourage contractions during labour, or to re-start a labour that has become lazy or stopped. Believe me, in the right potency, it works! I'm unclear why you are asking though...it's not for kittens!

Re: Caulophyllum?

i was looking to use it to help with labour as my cat has had problems delivering in the past and read it can help with contractions and to speed up labour. i wasn't going to use it for kittens.

Re: Caulophyllum?

Remember to just give the kittens the milk it if they really need it. You need to know how to feed and wind them properly afterwards, let Mum get on with firstly.

Mum knows best.
