pea sized lumps

This may sound a bit weird, i have noticed 2 pea sized lumps just under the skin about a centimetre away from laceys back nipples 1 either side, there quite hard and you can move them around a little bit. im not sure if it's because she's pregnant or maybe something unrelated? anyone got any ideas?

Re: pea sized lumps

Fifi has lumps like that about 1cm from every nipple, they move a little and are just a bit bigger than a squashed pea (does that make sense i.e they are toally ball shaped) I think they are mamory glands from what I have read but I cant be sure!

Re: pea sized lumps

The mammary glands can feel a little lumpy. I have seen it in a queen who was feeding kittens, the vet said it was just a collection of milk and they did disappear of their own accord. It could mean her milk is coming in. The bottom teats seem to get more engorged with milk. It maybe worth just popping her to the vet to make sure, if she is not going to be too stressed by the whole thing. Otherwise just keep an eye on them.
