Bumpy things

Hi Every one,
You're probably getting fed up of me by now...sowy
Any way so today fifi has basicaly been asking me to have a feel of her belly, so, I did! I have been convinced she is only having one kitten I dont know why but its just a feeling, any way so I had a feel and felt one, maybe a bit bigger than a golf ball size bumpy thing it was quite hard so I am assuming this is a kitten which is very exciting, its the only one I could feel but as people have said before they are quite good at tucking themselves away.
So being a bit bigger than a golf ball does that help with knowing how far along she is?
Thanks in advance

Re: Bumpy things

I would be guessing if the 'golf ball' was that obvious then it would be easy to feel and you didn't have to squish around in her belly to feel it, if so it was probably a head which means she is quite a way in her 9 week pregnancy if it is already golf ball sized????

Re: Bumpy things

I didnt squish too much wouldnt want to hurt or dislodge any thing, she was lying on her side on my hand so her bump was pushed up the other side, I cant say exactly how big it was as I didnt prod and poke too much or squeeze but it felt like a little bigger than a golf ball! I was thinking that she may be about 6 weeks trying to think back to when she escaped but I really have no idea, I just second guessing myself!

Re: Bumpy things

My mums cat had just one kitten a few years ago now. her belly was very small right up until she gave birth and took my mum by surprise as she thought she had longer to go. if you can only feel one baby maybe fifi will be having her kitten/kittens before lacey

Re: Bumpy things

Dont say that doogpoh, Im looking forward to hearing how lacey does and asking you for advice hehe! I would like her to hurry up and have it/them as the waiting is stressing me out (you Breeders who do this often must have nerves of steal (but then you do know when ur babies are due I suppose))
Any how she has gone nuts today, she keeps coming onto my lap or rubbing up against me just to attack me and it hurts, she hasnt drawn blood or anything but its very difficult to get her off me and her ears are right back like she means it....Im putting this down to hormonal mood swings.

How is Lacey doing Doogpoh? Bet shes struggeling by now with being so big, I have been watching cat births on youtube and saw a siamese one, they are sooooo cute when they are born!

Thank you Spid, she is suddenly looking alot less pregnant it does all seem lower but she isnt showing any other signs of being near to giving birth, her nipples although very pink and still bigger than normal are not huge, although her glands feel quite big, and like I have said in my last post she seems quite aggresive today!
Maybe if there is just one kitten does the position its lying in affect how big she looks?

Re: Bumpy things

yeah i think she's gettin tired of being pregnant now, she still thinks she can fit through the stairgate and gets herself stuck. waiting is streesing me out to, i went back to work last night for the first time after having my baby and was checkin my phone every 5 mins just incase i got a phone call to say she's having the kittens. i've tried to watch some videos on utube but my laptops to crappy. im very excited to see what they will look like as i don't know who the dad is, he might be siamese or moggie. i hope fifi calms down soon im sure it's just hormones, being pregnant can be very tiring and stressful sometimes. im excited to see who will have there kittens first now, i'll be looking out for any news

its a race to the finish line now then hehe (im sure Lacey will be first), although I think Fifi is just having a bad day she is now running around the flat like a psycho! She just left her chair where she has been spending alot of time so while she was gone I went to put a towel on it just incase and she went nuts she hissed at me then went to attack me! Shes being very possesive shes not usually like this atall!
