Sexing Kittens

Heres a short guide and photos on Sexing Kittens. Sometimes it can be very difficult to tell the sex of a young kitten,especially a kitten under 2 weeks old, but if you look at the photos below it should be able to help you.

Just Lift up the kittens tail. The opening just under the tail is the kittens anus. Below the anus is the genital opening which is round in males and is a vertical slit in females. In kittens of similar size, the distance between the anus and the genital opening is quite a bit bigger in the males than the females.

Wanted to ask where is the weighting chart?

My cat just had a litter on Monday. Our fault for not speying but we were actually only meant to look after her for someone who, in the end, couldn't keep her anyway. She's 19 months old now and we took her in at 10 weeks. It's been a scary week but the advice on here has been a godsend. Mum is a lovely ginger kitty and all 4 of her babies are ginger too. I think one of them is a girl. I've weighed them today and they're all approx 6 ounces. All seem content. Their tummies are soft and they eat, sleep pee and poo when mum licks them. She won't be having anymore though, far too stressful but the vet says all is fine. She's being speyed asap.
