Desperately Seeking A BSH Blue Kitten......

I'm looking to get my girlfriend a blue BSH kitten for her birthday at the end of January as a suprise and not really sure where else to look apart from www.pets4homes.co.uk. I'm from Derby and willing to travel close to Derby, can anyone point me in the right direction on where i'd be able to get one from!?.
My e-mail address is sbh1978@hotmail.com
Thank you.

Re: Desperately Seeking A BSH Blue Kitten......

You could try The-Kats-Whiskers-Welcome Page who are based in Derby and have a constant flow of kitties through their door! Derby RSPCA have some kittens in too but it's unlikely they'll have a blue kitten at the moment as they go quickly.

How does your girlfriend feel about receiving a kitten for her birthday? Is she prepared for the commitment that this will bring? Who will provide it's care? Where does she live right now and does she have permission to own a cat? It's unlikely a rescue or breeder will let you adopt a kitten when your girlfriend is unaware of what you are going to bring into the house (pet is for life... not just for x, y, z event).

Remember that kittens grow into cats eventually so that cute little bundle of fluff you bring home will eventually be a full size moggy. Consider expanding your search to "young cat" rather than just focusing on a kitten. We're out of "kitten season" right now so the chances one will turn up in a shelter is very unlikely for the next few months.
