morning sickness???

This is one for breeders - Is there such a thing as morning sickness in queens during the early part of their pregnancy? If so, when would you expect to notice it first?

Looking forward to seeing any comments/replies.

We've never experienced EMS but have had calling sickness in the 1st couple of days, guess we've been lucky and isn't it weird that you can tell what sick is worth worrying over and what isn'tTheirs no mistaking when Noodies hocks like a 9000 yr old with a bad nicotine problem and then gives birth orally to a really appealing slugballLOl

Re: morning sickness???

Hi Rita, yes it's quite common. About 60% of our girls all suffer from morning sickness. This starts from about the 2 week stage and usually is over within a week and a half. There is nothing worse than coming out of the bedroom first thing in the morning and standing straight in a pile of cat vomit which I've done numerous times when our girls are in the early stages of pregnancy.

Re: morning sickness???

Like Kat says, yes it's common.

Almost all of our cats are sick in the early part of their pregnancy - some of them throw up all the way through.
It's usually my first indication that babies are on the way - well before their nipples pink up!

Re: morning sickness???

Thank you all for your replies. It was interesting to know how many others found this. My queen Suki had this when she was pregnant last year and I forget exactly when the onset of the morning sickness occurred. I think it must have been around week 2 and lasted for about a week.
