Unhappy A realistic comprimise..

Well I did want all of Serafina's kittens (who wouldn't ) I still do.. but realisticly I'm not sure it's really the smartest of ideas. .

So I after a lot of thought I have settled on a compromise and that is I will keep one. As Leviticus is the only boy I thought (very human of me ) that it would be nice to have another boy in the house. So Gatsby is staying . Believe me I've spent the past two days umming and arring over who I should keep but now I have decided Gatsby I won't let myself change my mind!!

I think itd be nice to keep one of her kittens and it would be impossible to let them all go.

So looks like I have a job to do. Got to find a homes for three kittens (but not for a while yet)

I guess it is a bit of a relief to remember they do say its harder for the carer for the pet than it is for the pet when they have to move on. arh -sigh-

Re: A realistic comprimise..

They really are adorable. I mean all kittens are adorable but these guys really are special .

I have two tortie girls one has tabby patches in her coat like her beautiful mamma. And one silver tabby and white boy.

They are 3 weeks. What age can they leave their mum? I am guessing about 10 weeks? Oh I don't want to let them go but we must not overwhelm ourselves .

Here is piccies only I need to upload some new ones soon!

My Gatsby and one of the girls

I will vet homes for them and they won't be going anywhere that won't vaccinate/spay/flea/socialise and all the rest of it.

*Edit* They were probably around 2 weeks in these pics!

Re: A realistic comprimise..

He's a brown tabby I'm afraid - silver ones are quite different.

Moggies are typically rehomed at 8 weeks. Obviously you can try later if you want, and if that eight weeks coincides with Christmas (and I think it will) then certainly you would be better to wait until January to rehome them. It won't be difficult at that time of the year.
