Re: kicking me!

Depends on the queen - some girls don't really show very much until well after the halfway mark but by week six you will notice something changed about her shape and by week 7 you will see the odd wiggle. Certainly by week 8 you should be seeing movement.

Re: kicking me!

Thank you, I was checking my cats teats this morning while resting my hand gentle on her side and i felt a wriggle, I hadn't felt it before and it was such a strange sensation. So do you think that she is ready to go within the next week or so then?

Re: kicking me!

Oooo, I love it when you can see & feel them moving. I started seeing the babies in my girls wriggling about 6 weeks, but then they both had 7!! If they've not got many babies, sometimes it's hard to tell

Re: kicking me!

Hi - Congratulations on your first kitten.

If she doesn't want you right there - just observing from a distance so you are sure she is in no distress and the kittens and placentas are all coming out as they should would be the best thing.
I wouldn't imagine she will kill the kittens if you're there though and you need to try and make sure that for each kitten born there is a placenta.

Keep us posted
Emily

Re: kicking me!

Congratulations, we are having a real baby boom round here Keep an eye on her Em and keep us updated with the progress pleeeeaaassseeee
All cats are different some like you getting mucked in there with them and others would rather you just take a back seat. Your girl's reactions to you coming near are the best way to tell, so play it by ear. C.x.
