I have it on a pink slip! Probably along the same lines as may carry silver - which is dominant!

I don't think its the 'pink slip' that doesn't understand genetics.
Regardless of what is printed on there, they are from so far back, some 30 odd years back in the pedigrees, apart from the sentance on the pink slip they make no difference to the offspring. They are just historical quirks.

Recessive white is albino - ca, the second most recessive of the albino series genes. c is the most recessive - true pink eyed albino.
There was recessive white in the UK Siamese/Oriental gene pool in the 70s and maybe 80s, the cat responsible was an import (I think the name was Anarts Miko but can't swear to it and can't find a reference at the moment) I thought there was something on the Palantir site about it, but i can't find it there now. also see White Cats, Eye Colours and Deafness

Anarts Miko looks like a siamese x She was born in 66 and is the mother of Ch. Southview Unacassiopeia amoungst others, who is the cat in one of my peds, born 15/07/1969.
Anarts Miko is also behind Southview Trappist, who is one of the first OLH in the UK Genetics

Southview Trappist rings a bell too, I have an article by Pat Turner somewhere in the depths of a filing cabinet - on the history of caramels. If I remember right, Pat believed at one time that caramel was something to do with recessive white. Quote:
