is this normal??

well as you know picasso delivered 3 lovely kittens yesterday! the thing is shes screaming at me loads, and constantly baack and forth to them, is this normal? she spent all yesterday sleeping and feeding them, i even had to bring her food to her - shes also starving hungry which im taking as a good sign? her bits atre swollen, when should that go down? also 2 of her nipples are huuge and look painful, anything i can do for her?! kittens are currently curled together sleeping, they seem to be feeding well and arent screaming, so they look good, im just concerned that picasso may abandon them!!

sorry for rambling and worring !!

Re: is this normal??

yep, fairly normal, she wants you to be there with her to hold her paw so to speak, she will eventually settle but remember, this is all new to her and she's probably a bit stressed and anxious.

Re: is this normal??

Kiki had her babies on Friday and is behaving in a similar way. I am not overly concerned about her - I shall just do as Spid suggests. Go with her, hold her paw and feed her as much as she wants to eat.

The swelling may take a few days to go down. Kiki is still spotting droplets of blood wherever she places her posterior so anything she may sit on has to be covered in old towels or some sort of covering that can be washed easily.

She is calling me up to see her and the babies again ...

Good luck with your litter - hope everything goes well.
