Re: bo is in labour.

it could be mins or even a few hours, just keep an eye on her she will start getting distressed if they is any problems but if she is happy purring and looking after her baby then she should be ok, but make sure you see she has the afterbirth after each baby born. good luck and keep us informed

Re: bo is in labour.

dont panic it will come out in a bit if she has any more babies the next one could push it out, she should have another contraction and come out naturally but just keep an eye on her calm down

Re: bo is in labour.

god im awful but have to very bouncy kids home from school and they all want a bit of the action! she seems fine, is cleaning the second one, (black & white-now we know who daddy is!). typically she went into labour half an hour before my eldest finished school! had a mad dash trying to get someone to pick her up. will our other cats be ok with her?

first she laid in the box, then the plug came out, soon after the kitten started to come and when it was 3/4 out she hoped out the box and laid on our rug in kitchen. now she is back in box.

Re: bo is in labour.

I would try to keep her in her birthing box, some cats done like to much going on around them when in labour, if she has always got on well with your other cats then im sure she would be fine but just keep an eye on them she may not want then near her newborns for a while?

Re: bo is in labour.

she is laying feeding now. still no afterbirth that i have seen from second kitten. there is definately another kitten at least as ive seen her belly moving. have gave her a drink and offered her some food, the other cats are out of the house at the moment. kids are sort of settled watching telly.
