Re: oh god! new litters due!
I have a toy poodle. He thinks he is a cat and the cats think he's a cat
But honestly, they get along great together. He naps in the same basket with the cats. When I got him, as a 6 week old puppy, 10 years ago, I had a couple of litters of Tonkinese kittens. I put the puppy right in the kitten basket and he snuggled right in among the kittens. He did not nurse but was accepted by the mom cats. One kitten got its nails caught in a poodle curl...he yelped, the kitten was shocked and from that day to this, not one of my cats has come even close to hurting the poodle. They absolutely love each other. Poodles and Persians (I have color point persians (Himalayians) get along great together! |
