Re: Is 6 weeks too young to let them go?
Yes I would wait until atleast 8 weeks, they may not be feeding off of mum anymore but may still be learning things from her. 6 weeks is too young really they are stronger at 8 weeks old and will hopefully cope with the stress of moving home easier.

awwww my cat we got her at 6 weeks and she likes to bite, not nasty bite just chew on you, at first i put it down to teething, but shes 18 months now, and still likes to do it. I wonder if thats cos she wasnt with her mum longer?

Re: Is 6 weeks too young to let them go?
They will still be having a sneaky feed, maybe in the night when you don't see, and they will still be learning lots from their mum about interacting appropriately. I know some peeps think it's fine for kittens to leave at 6 weeks, but IMO it's too young.
