Stud pant info.
Hi...I have been using studpants on my himalayian stud since last fall. I bought a pair from a seamstress on Ebay. I leave them on him an hour or two and yes he sprays in them and also will do the "other". I have learned, when he does that, thank heavens it is firm....so I put him in the bathtub and hold his hiney under the tap and when the two "patties" fall I simply put them in the flush and rinse the tub....usually, he just sprays in them and I wear half of a large feminine napkin in them to catch the spray. I sewed a piece of waterproof material on the under side so he will not leak through on the furniture. He struts around with them on ...no prob....proud as a peacock.
I use braces on them, but do not fasten them around his neck. I simply fasten them to the pants under his belly, cross them and velcro fasten them on his back above the pants. No, he cannot breed with them on so they make it perfectly safe to let him run with inheat girls. Usually when I see one in heat, I either shut it away from him or allow them to mate. he does not take his pants off...if they are fastened securely they are safe. They are a wonderful invention and once I had a pair, I proceeded to make several. I just rinse them if he gets them wet, and simply use a spare pair on him. He stays in the bathroom when he is not out running around. He loves to visit us when we use the facilities...purring and getting his tail peed on by the men of the house....oh dear I hope that doesn't happen too often. I have attached pics .....if anyone needs a pattern let me know. I will try to help out as the online pattern mentioned in the forum is not quite what I have. I am green with envy of those of you with non spraying toms. I keep all my cats inside with us...and the stud will spray beds, furniture etc. No amount of cleaning can keep up with him ....so pants are a part of life here. I wonder if I neutered him if he would quit spraying....the vet said no guarantees.![]() |

Re: Stud pant info.
Actually, I put him in the bathtub and hold him tail up under the fast running water. I quickly grab with toilet tissue (what falls) and flush it down the toilet. I hate this but if I try to clean him up by hand I get swatted...big time
I live in N.B., Canada, a bathtub is called a tub and a flush is a flush![]() Nope, George Clooney definitly would look better....I am sure, though Angel is a handsome stud just the same. I am attaching a couple of pics of him...as a baby and adult. This was taken before the spraying when he could run without his pants.![]() |

Re: Stud pant info.
Hi....no, they are not stuck on. I told him to be very careful. (I named that pic "Terror in the village".
I told one of his kittens not to break stuff and this is what he did...... (see attachment). He has since gone to a new home. I sure hope he minds better there!![]() |
