Bleeding Botty

One of our poor little kittens was having her bum licked clean earlier and mum over did it and it started to bleed. Kitten is around two weeks old now.

Is this just my cat, is it common, how can it be stopped?

Re: Bleeding Botty

We had a problem with ours when they were ill, one of them licked the others bum and seemed to cause bleeding, we used dermisol cream on it for a few days and it soon healed.

Re: Bleeding Botty

We didnt had an over-licked bumms so far, but we had an over-obcessive mom - who was licking baby to nearly bald state. Vet checked it twice and everything is perfectly OK, he advised to keep baby away from mom - but how could I? Its sooo cute tho.....

Re: Bleeding Botty

All botties seem to be clean, healthy and not bleeding this morning.
Will just keep an eye on it.
